I have the most amazing and wonderful students! I am honored to be their teacher and instructor.

I met Ann 9 years ago while taking classes at the Renton Senior Center (WA state). Shortly after joining her yoga class, I injured my right leg’s high hamstring, which takes the longest to heal. Ann always begins her classes by asking what we need or ”what should we practice tonight.” And she does this each session, no matter how large the class size, and those who volunteer their current issues are heard and she works to add movements within that session’s practice to provide healing/relief. I have consistently been amazed at how she effectively does this time and time again. Ann’s suggested movements resolved my hamstring issues in a manner way more timely than if I had just healed on my own. Of course, I practiced them beyond just the weekly class. Having her insight for the correct movements that effectively would bring healing was so appreciated and I’ll tell this story at every opportunity I get! And as the years have passed, and other aches and pains have come along, by the end of a practice session with Ann, I have always found some relief. Ann is unlike any fitness instructor I’ve ever had. She’s extremely gifted, observant, knowledgeable,
caring, and abundantly sharing of her gifts! Even during the pandemic, she offered Zoom classes to keep us on track and together. During such a time of unknowns, stress, isolation, loneliness, you name it, this was just another way that Ann thought to be who she is, a giving, talented person who wants to help others through her yoga practice. In this way, she also met emotional and spiritual needs which to me rounds out a solid yoga practice. Ann is very observant, so even if you don’t tell her what’s bothering you, but she observes it, she’s going to work that into the practice and help you in ways you aren’t even realizing. She’s just that good! Try a class with Ann. Namaste!

I began studying with Ann in 2017 at Valley medical and then later on zoom since the pandemic. Whether in person or on zoom Ann
is always concerned about each student and spends extra time ensuring all needs are addressed and always offers help. Ann is very funny as well with lots of fun stories and a great sense of humor which helps alot especially on a bad day or just to prompt you on to do a seemingly difficult pose or study and makes it seem easier and fun. Ann is very knowledgeable and always learning and passing on her knowledge in her generous spirit. I would recommend Ann to all levels from beginner and disabled as well as advanced as she covers a wide range of skill levels and can meet you where you are and modify any exercise.

I have been a yoga student of Ann’s for over 10 years. Our relationship began when Ann started teaching the Gentle Yoga class for Cancer Lifeline at Valley Medical Center. Our class was, of course, comfortable with our practicing teacher and we were concerned when we learned she was leaving and a new teacher would be stepping in. But what a boon that change turned out to be! I was a faithful student of Ann’s and attended every week at Valley until the class was dropped by Cancer Lifeline (not by Ann) for reasons unknown. I was upset that the class was ending and that I might have to stop yoga for a while and look for a new class. Meanwhile, Covid hit in 2020 and everything went to Zoom. When the Cancer Lifeline class ended, Ann was quick in her response to let class members know she would continue classes on her own personal Zoom meeting site. Thus I was able to continue yoga with virtually no break in my class schedule at all.
I am a breast cancer survivor and keeping my body flexible has been an important part of my return to wellness and to being in touch with my body. Also I am now 76 and cannot emphasize enough how important it is for me to keep my body moving and in balance, and for just feeling good when performing everyday activities. I try to never miss a class and Ann is largely responsible for my dedication to yoga exercise. Her program is well rounded, includes constant variety to keep even basic poses interesting, and she always gives us alternative body positions to help everyone achieve various poses.
I feel privileged to be Ann’s student of long standing. KK
Ann has been my yoga instructor for about 18 years - first in person, and now on Zoom. She has managed both situations with a
lot of skill. I do yoga to help maintain a good level of physical health as I get older. Her class has helped me with strength, flexibility and balance and I do feel its substantial benefit for my daily life. She manages to personalize the classes to fit each person's needs - asking at each class what we need that day. She fits this into whatever plans she already has for the class. She is a great practitioner of the yoga she teaches, loves learning new exercise skills, has a great sense of humor, and genuinely enjoys teaching. I am grateful for all these years of having her for an instructor and have benefited big time.

I started taking yoga classes from Ann over 8 years ago after exiting physical therapy for an injury from a car accident. I had taken yoga classes in the past but found them serious and a bit judge-ey.Ann’s teaching style far exceeded my expectations. Her classes are fun and she promotes an atmosphere of community. In addition to teaching the poses and any needed accommodations, Ann explains how they increase our strength and flexibility. She emphasizes injury prevention both during class and in our daily lives. In class, we also work on understanding our mind and body connection through breath work and brief meditations. I now have many tools in my toolbox for improving strength, preventing injury, coping with pain, and managing my stress level.Ann is almost always in a new training to keep her skills and techniques cutting edge and regularly brings the latest information to her students. She always keeps us top of mind and tracks our various injuries, aches, and pains and often makes recommendations specific to our individual situation.Even with all of her specialized training and experience, Ann somehow manages to keep her fees affordable, increasing access to the benefits of yoga for all. I really appreciate this about her! If you haven’t taken a yoga class with Ann yet, I highly recommend her. ~ CA, Renton Wa
